Different terminal commands on jaguar.

I have two questions:

1. Why, if I use tab key to complete a path, doesn't terminal show me all the possible choices anymore?

2. Why doesn't "ll" or "l" command exist anymore?

And

Is there a way to get colored list of files as "ls --color" in Unix?

Now tab and ll command work perfectly.

I follow the instructions written in macfora.com thread in order to get colored ls, but I have no C compiler (cc command).

How to install it?

If you want the c compiler you need to install the Developer Tools, available from Apple's developer site. You have to register as a developer first, but registration is free.

color ls is available as a Mac OS X installer package here:
