disappearing airport connection

Hopefully someone can help me out with this. Sorry if this question has been posted, if it has, if someone could link me to the response, that'd be great. I connect to the internet using airport, but whenever my computer goes to sleep, it disconnects from airport, and i have to reconnect when i get back on. Also, my computer goes to sleep after only like 15 or 20 minutes of inactivity, which is not cool. If anyone knows any way to help me stay connected, let me know!

I think your solutions would be found in system preferences

For adjusting the time it takes for your Mac to sleep go: system prefs/energy saver

To adjust settings with your airport you could try: system prefs/ network - then click on show: / airport - and explore the settings there. I don't use airport myself so hope this helps
