Disc stuck in my powerbook!

Androo

Yeah, Androo.
whenever i startup and hold down eject, nothing comes out, and i get a blank screen. what do i press to force the cd out of my powerbook? is it command click?

There should be a tiny hole next to the drive tray door. Get a paper clip and straighten it out. Insert the straightened end into the hole and gently push in, you will feel resistance. now push the clip in further with gentle force. This will open the tray.

Do you know what the CD is? I am questioning the blank screen.

i forget now, i got it out after i had a starbucks coffee. That stuff seems to solve everything.
But thanks anyway;)

Emergency eject:
*Press the eject button on the keyboard. Once. Then repeatedly if once doesn't do it.

*If that fails, restart and hold down the mouse button. This *should* eject all but the most stubborn of discs.

*If that fails, restart to the Open Firmware prompt: Command+Option+O+F. At the prompt, type: eject cd
then mac-boot

all this may make you feel like more of a super geek, but a real power user knows that cheryl is right - use the paperclip in such instances. fast, simple and it always works. :D

Ok but what about a PowerBook G4 with a slot loader. Does the slot loader work the same as an iMac?

thanx,

Restart the computer and immediately hold down the mouse button.
And do not use a mini CD in a slot loading drive !!!
