Disc warrior cant repair hd

Damage to iBook G3 directory /DW has fixed 2 of 3 partitions but third is 30% bad and DW just stops in mid-fix as if its just too hard/have tried everything to boot it/must get in and fix or empty/ Have la Cie drive that used to boot it but now not a peep/la cie is tiger iBook is Panther can i get tiger off / there are hundreds of preferences piled up r they causing probs can i just trash them all ? Am in tears every night !!
