Discount vouchers

I'm just in the process of buying some software over the net and hit one of those shopfronts which offer a discount if you happen to have a "voucher" code.

I do try to do the right thing by software developers and pay for software I use. However it strikes me as odd that some people pay more and some less, just because they are in the know and have come across one of these "vouchers".

I don't mind getting an incentive to buy but especially on this occassion I have this niggling feeling I am paying too much.

What does everyone think about this practice and are there any good offers that you can recommend?
 
Yeah I know about those but they never apply to me or have what I am looking for. They are mostly the old 2 for 1s and usual Dell discount stuff.

The stuff that I am talking about is the software vouchers which don't appear on those sites.
