Disk reported full when copying to symlink to disk with plenty of space?

Hi,

One of my users reports that he gets a "disk full" error when he attempts to copy files to a symlink that points to a mount with plenty of space. Is this a known problem?

About the only thing that comes to mind is user/group permissions to the location the symlink is pointing to.
