disk utility - don't find it

Hi,

I am quite new in Mac OS X 10.5 (leopard).
I just downloaded from windows msdn a .iso file (with the XP Operating system).

Now I want to burn it on a CD. I found on the internet that I can do this with disk utility.
Disk Utility should be under Applications/Utilities.
But it is not there, I don't find it in finder anywere. (The computer was installed by the vendor).

Do I need to install it from my installation disks? I already looked to disk 1, but I do not know what to install.

It might help if you defined your terms here.

Disk Utility is part of the standard installation of MacOS X. The easiest way to not install it is to do a standard installation and then remove Disk Utility. There is no good reason to do this. It would not surprise me if it were still on your drive.

My suggestion is to use Spotlight to search your hard drive for Disk Utility.
