Am running OSX.2.1 on G4 AGP mac 500MHz with 512MB RAM, Sony SDM 200ES monitor. Accidentally reset monitor display to not recommended setting and now screen black with out of range message when I boot. Have tried Apple support and have tried open firmware and reset all command to no avail. Is there anyone who can tell me how I can reset my display back to its recommended setting 800x600 55Hz or 60Hz. Can boot to OS9 using CD ROM and OS 9 , monitor works fine. Again apple support sucks.
