do I REALLY need a G5? Or will a DP G4 suffice?

usually, I'd just run out and snap up one of these G4's at the absolutely SICK prices they're going for now...$1400 for a dual 1.25?! but my worry is that the 64 bit OS is optimized for the G5...I work with video a bit, and I'd LOVE to run FCP (hell, even iMovie) in 64 bit. Is the extra $$ worth it for a G5? Besides...if I do get it, I have to sell my mac tomm (before the deal falls through), and I'll be stuck with a 500 mhz celeron until my G5 comes in. Is it REALLY worth it?
 
Sorry to burst your tech-bubble but I have a G4 dual 1ghz and I've always thought this thing is slow, it can't run osx fast enough, I definately don't recommend buying one. So, in fact, you do need a G5. See.
