What update of Mac OS X 10.5?
Since when did this start to happen?
Are all other apps behaving correctly?
Does this happen for just one user (if you have more than one user on that Mac)?
How much empty space/total space do you have on that Mac?
Have you tried repairing permissions with Disk Utility?
Or running the maintenance scripts with OnyX? Give OnyX a try - make sure you grab the version for 10.5, and if that doesn't fix it let us know the details on the above questions too.

I only have one user, me.
How much empty space/total space do you have on that Mac?
I have two drives, both are 500gb. The main drive has about 400gb free and the other drive has about 60gb free (the other drive contains a lot of Final Cut data)

Yes, I ran all their tools. Still nothing.
I think this started happening right when I reset MobileMe's sync data, but I'm not sure if that's related.
