Dock folder item order?

I have a folder in the Dock so I get stuff from it's submenus from its context menu. Anyone know if there is a way to specify an order other than alphabetical? I figured maybe some character that wouldn't show up.

Did you try the old trick of pasting a blank line before the name?

If you are wanting to create an Applications submenu in the Dock, I recommend the freeware Cocoa application YADAL (Yet Another Dock Application Launcher):

Hah, thanks. The black space worked. But I did try YADAL, but I find the Dock menu of aliases works better for me. For one thing, I like it under the seperator, where YADAL is an app, so it has to be above, with all the apps. And a regular menu has icons. YADAL does not. Really makes a difference. YADAL doesn't seem to.
