My new Pro Keyboard works great, but the power switch on the computer won't turn the computer on! It's an older model, a Revision D iMac (333), but I know I've used the computer-mounted power switch to power the machine down before. Am I missing something?
It should work. Hold it down really long. If it still doesn't work, then the button may be broken.
(BTW, what did this have to do with the keyboard? Sounds like the switch on the front of your comp isn't working, which has nothing to do with the keyboard.)
Switch is fine for shutdown, original iMac keyboard power switch works, but built-in switch will NOT power machine on. Compucable makes a slick USB power button designed for the Pro Keyboard (http://www.compucable.com/se_iCue.html); the thought of a "key" for my system is intriguing. I'm buying one right now. I'm sure there is a software fix, but I like the hardware idea.
...but has your on-computer power button ever failed to work? The light works fine, but I can't use the button to boot, restard, sleep, or shutdown the computer!!!
