Don't hide, little button!

Can anybody explain this behavior? I find it odd when form buttons hide in the upper left corner, since I encounter it so frequently. I know they're form buttons because I clicked one once, and it popped something up (though the website is long forgotten).

It would help to know what browser and version.

That looks like Internet Explorer 5 for OS 9... odd, though, i've only seen that behaviour, myself, once.

It is definitely IE 5.1/9.2.2; I encounter this, um, oddity often and I've always wondered why it did that.
