dp 867 or new 1ghz powemac?

want to buy a powermac, but looking for any advice about which one. Would old dp 867 outperform new 1ghz in 3d renders, video work etc.? I know new model has faster system bus and ram but the dp 867 seems to offer better value for money. Any advice appreciated!
 
Good point! I just purchased a DP867 (before the 1Ghz model) but I don't know if I should laugh or cry?
 
a dual 867 will render faster than a single 1ghz machine assuming the software you are using is multithreaded [most 3d aps are]
 
As an average user, i beg the same kinda question ... i don't use 3D apps, nor Video intensive "really" ... altho who knows what the future brings? ... but @ the moment ... i am looking to be using DW, Flash, PS7 etc on my new machine, and there's an opportunity to get a Dual 867 w/ DVD-R ... i am finding it hard 2 decide between that and a single 1Ghz. i don't have a price quote back on the Dual 867 "yet" .... but its a refurb too, which should lower the cost some too! ... is the Dual 867 DDR 266?

What are people's opinions! ... the most annoying thing, a few days ago, i was Very content on a 1Ghz iMac ... man, i am like a woman!!! :eek:
