I have an imac PowerPC G4, running Mac OS X 10.1.5, and itunes 4.7.1.
I bought a pack of HP CD-R discs, and was burning a series of playlists in itunes from songs I bought from the store. I was only burning one disc per playlist, and all the playlists were unique (no duplicate songs). I got to the tenth disc, using the same pack of CD-R's, and all of a sudden the discs won't burn. When I click on the icon to burn a disc, it starts, it initializes the songs, writes them, then when the CD is supposed to finish, and give the beep, it just stops burning. Sometimes it makes the ending beep sound, as if it successfully finishes, and other times it does not. Either way at the end of the process the computer does not recognize the CD, nor does it display the CD in the itunes window.
I tried diagnosing the hardware with the Hardware Test CD, with no problems found. I also tried reinstalling itunes 4.7.1, again to to avail.
Any suggestions?
Bryan
