Drivers Needed for Wireless Cards

I have two cards in which suggeted would work on my Wallstreet.
1- Belkin FSD6020
2- Proxim Orinoco Silver Model 8461-05

Both card will not get regonized by the various 3rd party software I've tried. The Orinoco card completly freezes the OS. (and I thought that was impossible)

I have a belkin DSL wireless gateway router with all open settings.
Any suggestions on what will make these cards work.
 
What version of OS X are you running?

Do you have Airport software installed? If so, it should recognize the Orinoco - it uses the same chipset as the Airport card.
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the airport for internal cards and Airport base stations. I have a 3rd party PCMCIA card and am using a Belkin Wireless Router. How will this work for me. I have already downloaded

Aero Card
IO Xpert2 802.11

Both do not bring up the option of (EN1) in the network control panel. I must be missing something else??
 
Tried the Orangeware driver with the same results as the others.
The Belkin cards get power and is greyed out in the usb icon.

The Orinoco card freezes the entire system on insertion.
 
You can this driver to my list that do squat.
If anyone can suggest something or confirm that these card just will not work, please give me some input. Otherwise,I must be missing something in my network control panel for it not see the cardbus (EN1) area. What triggers this??
