Dropped my ibook. "You Must Restart"

My ibook was dropped from about 3 feet to the hardwood floor. On startup it, stops me with the "You need to restart your computer" prompt.

I can start up successfully by holding down 'shift' -extentions off. I can poke around but not do much. Photos appear in preview. songs are there in iTunes, but won't play, etc. I hope this means I haven't lost data.

I held down 'C' on startup and put in the Hardware Test disk. I got the following message:

Invalid Memory Access at %SRRO: 0002c2d4 %SRR1: 00003030

Apple Powerbook6, 5 4.8.7f1, BootROM built 9/23/04

HELP!!!

-Already tried PRAM (opt command R P, got second startup sound, then got 'you need to restart') I think I'm well beyond my warranty, can I open the back and check connections myself? How much might it cost to send it out for repair?

First thing I would try is to reseat the memory.

I have changed/added memory to my iBook G4 and it's pretty straightforward. Haven't done it for a while. I think it's under the keyboard. Instructions are in the book that came with it - and also somewhere on the Apple website.
