Dual 867 MDD Problem (incredible slowdown)

The machine feels totally laggy. I'm supporting the client machines (and the server) at a company. The machine at hand... Well, I've only installed FileMaker Pro 6 and Virtual PC 6 on it yesterday, nothing else has been done to the machine...

I've already started up from the System CD and repaired permissions and the disk... To no avail, no error's been found.

The machine doesn't crash, really, it just slows down. A bit like walking in goo...
 
Solved. Strange enough, though.

I've decided to reinstall Mac OS X 10.2. Archive, I chose, and to save the existing users and prefs. Installed beautifully (10.2.0 over 10.2.4), then I've upgraded to 10.2.4 again and the only thing not currently working is the Palm software (Transport Monitor doesn't want to start up).

I'll reinstall Palm Software, I guess, and see what happens... But currently, it's working again.
