Hi guys
Last weekend I checked at my apple-store and they had this 22inch lcd.. Oh my... I felt in love! I am willing to pay everything they want. Unfortunatly that cute thing doesn't work with my P4 2,8GHz System (at least not compatible to the DVI-Interface of mine).
And it doesn't make sense to plug my ibook to that beautiful thing (running 1024 res... ,-))
Now I would like to buy an apple system. But I just don't know, if there is an overall performance improvement of those dual systems (powerpcs). Is it dependant on the software, or does macosx kinda simulate a single processor system, so that the applications don't have to support dual processors?
And if it's an overall improvement, how much is the effective improvement? more than 90% compared to a single proc machine?
And is it easily possible to upgrade Raid and Graphiccard on those powerpcs? So that I could go for the cheapest and later on upgrade...
tnx!!!
Cheers
