dumb superdrive question!

i have the 800mhz imac w/ superdrive
this is before any updates came out..so the original one..
what speed is my superdrive?
I wanna buy some dvdrs but i need to know what speed it is first..2x..4x ??

although some seem to be listed as 2x, I believe they are officially only 1x. I know mine burns dvds pretty slow.

so basically you can buy the best burn speed dvd media out there, but you're just going to be spending more money for a drive that only burns at 1x (2x max)

Just as a reminder, did you get the firmware update for your superdrive? I suggest you do this before you start burning anything.
