Dvd Audio

IF APPLE REALLY WANTS TO CAPITALIZE ON THE AUDIO PROCESSING OF OS X THEY SHOULD PUT DVD-AUDIO DRIVES IN THIER NEW SYSTEMS. DVD AUDIO USES 24 BIT 96 KHZ PROCESSING AND WOULD GIVE APPLE A JUMP ON THE PC FOLKS. IT COULD GIVE THEM A SOLID REASON FOR AUDIOPHILES TO CONSIDER A MACINTOSH PURCHASE.

WHY WOULD THEY NEED TO DO THAT? IS IT BECAUSE YOU CAN'T HEAR OVER YOUR DVD-AUDIO SO YOU HAVE TO SCREAM TO BE HEARD?

Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, that might be a good idea, but I don't think Apple's big on audio technology yet (notice: no standard 5.1 sound card yet on any Mac, the Pro Speakers STILL don't come with a subwoofer (but they really sound great combined with the iSub, so I don't see why Apple doesn't just do it this way), and there's no EAX or environmental surround on the Mac except what you hack with a SoundBlaster Live! card...) and it will probably be a while before they are...
