DVD Double-Layer Recorder in a G5?

I would like to put a DVD Double-Layer Recorder
16x16 Dual Format Burner in a G5 tower.
will it work. Has anyone done this?

get a Pioneer DVR-109 and use PatchBurn3 (makes iLife/Disc Burning recognise it)
