Anyone out there know how I can fix my dvd drive? I'm trying to install Final Cut Express 4 and the disc drive tries to read it, only to spit the disc back out every time...any suggestions? Mucho thanks.
 
You didn't mention the mac you own, nor whether slot or tray loading. Do other CD/DVD's work at all. If they do, you have a defective install disk. If not:

If thorough cleaning of the DVD and the drive, with a DVD cleaning disk, doesn't correct the problem, you are hosed. Superdrives are available for replacement or externals are plentiful. If external, make sure it is Mac compatible.
