DVD Unrecognized by my mac...

I put in a DVD which doesn't have my area's region code, and a CD icon doesn't appear on my desktop. When I turn on DVDPlayer, and press play, it says "Supported Disc Not Available". And in FrontRow is says that the disc was not recognized. All I want to do is put the DVD movie file onto a CD so that it works.

Please help as soon as possible!!
 
This would make sense since the DVD in the Mac and any other computer or DVD player are set to the US region if in the US (or you can set it through the preferences for the DVD-ROM/DVD-RW, but you're limited to only changing it a few times until it's finally locked). If the DVD is from another region, you can only play it on a player that is set for the same region as the DVD.
