Dvds Burn But Wont Mount

I have exactly the same problem that posted you by midiman in april 20 2005. I can burn dvd but I can' tmount them after burning
I have an eMac with superdrive PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-106D.
I can read the dvd that i have burned on other Mac, i can read them with my mac with an external dvd drive that a friend give me to try but not with my internal drive. I have read and done all the things that Cheryl suggested to midiman but without results. Thanks for your help

I did'nt say that I don't think it'a a hardware problem because if I use TDK DVD I can burn them, mount them just after burning and mount them every time I want. I'm sorry for my bad english but I'm grateful to everybody can help me with this problem.

I suspect it *is* a hardware problem, Sylvia. Discs are hardware.

You might wish to go to videohelp.com, find the 106 in the DVD Writer
tab on the left of the home page, and see what flavor disks the 106 is
happy with. And at what burn speed.

What is the exact brand and type of disc that fails?

I've noticed that DVD-RW's make my Mac puke. If that's any help.
