DVI to HDMI .. nothing shows up?

Recently purchased an XtremeHD HDMI to DVi cable to hook up to my Sony Bravia LCD TV and so far nothing but a blank white screen appears..

I need some assistance please.

What are you trying to hook up? A MacBook, MacMini, MacBook Pro, iMac, etc?

I hooked up a MacBook using such a cable and it worked great!
 
Fixed!!

Mac Book Pro.. it was white because it works as a DUAL screen til I figured it out when the mouse pointer rolled over lol!!
 
And it was white because your default desktop picture is white? Or did it use the one you were using on the internal display (i.e. white, too?)?
