Ebert's answer man column: Macs in movies

I bet a lot of studio people have had bad experiences with PC's and switched to Mac for the obvious reasons, including FCP, and so they want to return the favor by subtly portraying the Mac as good and the PC as evil. This happens a lot. I think they did it in M:I 2.

Macs are big in tinsel town - PowerBooks are far more chic than any other laptop and Final Draft is THE app for writing screenplays. For some time it was Mac only (I think). FCP is yet another reason.

Arden, we must stop meeting like this! I swear I am not stalking you!!!

I see no problem, Karavite... unless, of course, you try to assimilate me.

You should change your title to "Cybernetic Member."

Oh God, I love this line by Tom Clancy:

"Never ask a man what computer he uses. If it's a Mac, he'll tell you. If it's not, why embarrass him?"

I think I just found a new sig!

Clancy a Mac man? Wow, I would have never guessed. Then why don't we have a good submarine game for Macs!!! :)

Arden, I would change the name, but that is one area the Borg leave as is...
