eBook purchase?

Any good places to buy eBooks?
How do people like eBooks? I was thinking of getting one - testing the whole idea out. I know Adobe Reader is available on the mac - but are other viewers available on the mac as well ? (MS viewer and others ?)

I use mostly just preview, since nothign beats being Acrobat Reader-less + MS-less...
