Editing Picture to Get Lower Resolution

Hi there, I just purchased my first digital camera and I took some pictures in big resolution
so it is hard for me to send them via email.

I was wondering if there was any way to edit them so I could get lower resolution using Iphoto or any other software.

I'm also interested in knowing the location of temporal images folder on my Mac (I have a PB rev C 12 inches)

Thanks for your help

Most new Macs ship with GraphicConverter. If you don't have it, download it. It will do what you want and a lot more.

Since you mention iPhoto:
Select the photos you would like to share in iPhoto, then click the Mail "button" on the bottom. A dialog box will open asking what size picture you would like to send.
That easy.

If you're using Mail.app in Mac OS 10.4 or later, then there's a handy image-resizer built in. Just drag the images into the message, and on the status bar you'll see an option to resize the images. As you change the size, the status bar will also tell you the message size in KB. Neat, huh?
