in a drunken stupor, i managed to spill a bit of water on my apple keyboard yesterday, its all dry now, but a few keys dont work anymore, is there anything i can do?

eek

Just hard to press, or those keys don't work at all? I'd try to open it and clean from inside *carefully* ..

they are malfunctioning, they dont respond, etc, but then they do their own thing whenever (it seems like a short to me)

and i dont know how to pull it apart, it has some special screws...

Small Hex (torque?) Screws... Very Small!
I'm still trying to find the right size, but the smallest I have is not small enough. :(

Probably it wasn't completely dry inside, so those few keys were messing up.

Wish I had gotten that lucky - I spilled Dr Pepper on one of my keyboards and fried it. I took it all apart and cleaned it out real well, let it all dry before putting it back together, but the damage had been done - none of the keys worked on it. (Though oddly enough, the system profiler still recognized it as a keyboard and the usb ports still worked)

Good thing there's a compUSA nearby that actually has Mac stuff in stock - I'd've been really pissed to have to wait for a keyboard to be shipped to me.

Once I get back home from work I'll grab a URL that will show you how to repair some of the keyboards that had been damaged by different beverages. It saved my girlfriend from having to spend 50 bucks on a new microsoft natural keyboard... of course it did cost me $20 bucks for the materials to fix it.
