My emac monitor has been slowly dying for about 3 years - sporadic raster shift problems. But its now looking terminal - its happening 95% of the time, and manages to shake till it disappears altogether.
So I've tried to attach a mirrored monitor, I got the apple cable to allow this but am not having much luck. I've tried 2 monitors an old apple multiple scan 15, on which the power lights flash as I start up the emac, but nothing else happens. and the 17" CRT monitor off my wifes PC, which brings up the message "OUT OF RANGE - 72.0khz 89hz OPERATING RANGE HF 30-70khz, VF 50-150Hz.
Does this just mean I cant use either of these and need to find another monitor, in which case what do I need to look for so that the monitor will work with the emac?
Cheers
