EMac operating system

Purchase the retail version of either 10.4 or 10.5. The one you choose depends on the configuration of your eMac and the system requirements for either. 10.5 requires at least an 867 MHz G4 processor.

Please do not ask us how to download as that is against the board rules of this forum.

Nixgeek, you forgot that leopard requires 512mb of ram, and you'll need at least 20 gigs for a full installation, its 12 with all of the printers and extra languages. If you dont want those, click customize before you click install.

Well, that's why I recommended to check the system requirements for Leopard against the current specs for the eMac. All of that should be stated in the system requirements for Leopard already. ;)

And yes, customizing the installation to exclude items you don't need definitely helps in keeping a nice lean OS X installation, whether Leopard or any other version of OS X. :)
