eMac won't start up

What happened was my computer froze in the process of opening a file from a memory card in my digital camera. I went up to the apple to see if I could force quit the program but the computer continued to show me the watch symbol. So I decided the only thing I could do was to unplug my computer which I did. When I plugged it back in it turned itself on because I had set it to automatically start up after a power outage. While it was starting up,after the apple logo, it came to a screen with the power button symbol saying I needed to restart my computer by holding down the power button for several seconds or push the restart button. So I held the power button and it turned off. When I pushed the power button again, it came to the same power button screen but then it greys over and displays a bunch of code. This has kept happening each time I try to turn my computer on but this is the first time I have had this problem with my computer. I have tried the command-option-P-R combination but that does not work. What should I do?

Is your camera still connected? If so, disconnect it. Disconnect everything except your keyboard and mouse. Then try to boot.

You are experiencing something that shouldn't happen: kernel panics. This is a total system crash. It's often caused by hardware issues.

Let us know what happens.
