Hi there,
I'm trying to set up an email alias in Mail, so that I may mail out using an address that I own but haven't actually set up an account for in Mail. However it's not working -- each time I send from the alias (selected via the "From" drop-down list), the received email says it's from the actual/parent account.
So, for example, I have an IMAP account set up in Mail for "me@gmail.com"
I've added an alias "me@yahoo.com.au" to this IMAP account in Mail, by adding this yahoo address to the Email Address field, comma-sep'd. This yahoo account actually exists, & I have any messages received by it forwarded to the gmail account.
But when I select me@yahoo.com.au as the From address in a New Message window, then send the mail, it is still delivered as coming from me@gmail.com
What am I doing wrong?
