I have recently installed and configured Entourage 11.2.1. The Macs are G4 and G5 running OS X 10.4.3.
The Servers are:
ISA Proxy 2000
Exchange 2003
Operating System is Windows 2003
I initially had a problem setting up an Entourage IMAP account. Send and receive worked fine, but the global address list could not be accessed on the ldap server. I set up a second Exchange account which accessed the global address list but could not send and receive mail. Setting the IMAP account to default enabled Entourage to send, receive and access the global address list.
The current problem is the Proxy Server receiving anonymous requests from the Macs. This has increased the log file from 300Mb to 1Gb. Auto update was enabled on all the Macs but have now disabled it to check manually for updates.
The majority of the requests are sent by Entourage sending constant requests to the Proxy Server. These requests are then directed to the Exchange Server. Why would requests from Entourage be sent to the Proxy Server and not directly to the Exchange Server ?
Any help would be apreciated.
