Entourage Ghost POP account

I have a client with a very strange issue in Entourage 08. In the settings he has only ONE email account setup which is an Exchange account. Yet in Entourage he gets email delivered from the exchange server, as well as from an SBCGlobal account (Old Email account which is still active, but not used). The SBC account emails are delivered to 'Folders on My Computer'. I have no idea how these emails are being delivered when there are simply no settings for any account other than the Exchange within the Entourage settings.
Any ideas how these could be delivered without any settings in the 'Accounts' control panel?

Your client setup his SBC account in Entourage 2008, but never disabled it. What make you believe that Entourage should not receive emails for the account?
 
No, there is not SBC account setup in Entourage, if I go to the account settings there is only the EXCHANGE server setup there, not the SBC POP account. Yet every 10 minutes or so, it delivers new mail to the Local Folders.
 
Check the preference folder of Entourage. I bet there is an SBC preference file there.
It could be the user did not disable/delete that SBC account correctly.
