Entourage won't print calendar events

I'm running Entourage 2004 (11.2.1) on OS X (10.3.9). I normally print my calendar daily view on a single page to show events/appointments throughout with the task list and notes fields down the side. Yesterday, abruptly, Entourage began refusing to show or print any events/appointments on a daily calendar printout. It shows and prints the calendar, the tasks and the notes, but no appointments. It won't show events on weekly or monthly printouts, either.

I've restarted, rebuilt the database and even reverted to earlier user identities to resolve the problem (and you don't want to know what happened during the rebuild), and nothing has changed this. The only thing I know that changed in the printing procedure was, when I printed out a blank monthly calendar for someone else in the office to use, I told it in the "layout options" pane to print only items in the category "Holidays." I unchecked the category option to resume my regular calendar printing, and since then, the "None" category remains ticked and the events/appointments have vanished from printouts.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone advise? I know I can print out a list view of appointments, but that won't show my tasks on the same page and I don't like to waste taxpayer-funded paper, or trees. (I'm already printing my daily calendar/task list on the back of used paper.)
