epson 1290 & osx 10.3.9

I cannot assign paper profiles [epson photo glossy etc], speed, quality etc, when printing from ai and photoshop. I think I have downloaded latest drivers, utilities etc.

My first post.

Any ideas.

When you add in Printer Setup, do you choose Epson USB? If not, you are using the Gimp-Print driver, not the Epson-provided one.
