Epson CX5400 Head Cleaning

We purchased a second CX5400 all-in-one for our daughter since our main CX5400 was on another floor and she had a significant amont of printing for school and now college work. Our CX5400 has worked with no problems, but she insisted on printing to ours instead of taking the time to power on hers, and so it sat idle more than it should.

Now there are significant problems with the print heads, and running a nozzle/head cleaning multiple times (more than 30) does not make it better -- in fact it seems to be getting worse. Originally only the yellow and magenta were missing (almost 100%), but the more I perform head cleaning, the more the others are developing gaps, and the yellow and magenta have not improved!

Is there any other method that can be used to attempt to clean the print lines? With the price of printers these days it may almost be cheaper to purchase a new printer than to pay for repair, unless it is something that can be done at home.
