getting this error message every second:

clearly there is a fan failure.... Is there a way for me to further identify the faulty fan and/or fix this? It seems to be causing a heat related shutdown. Also, is there a way to verify the reason for these random shutdowns? I look around the logs but saw nothing related to the CPU shutting down.
