my ethernet port stopped working suddenly ,i get a message saying cable unplugged but it's not ,my internet works fine on my ps3 ,could my ethernet card be broken
It could, hopefully isn't.
Reset PRAM, and then run Apple Hardware Test (look in FAQ&Howto board to see details how depending on the Mac you have). Hopefully it will not report any hardware issues.
