Hi
When starting an iMovie without a DV camera connected through the firewire port the default movie is in NTSC format.
However, I want to digitise some home movies, and dont have a DV firewire camera attached, but an older DV camera that I am connecting through InterView. I can convert the movie to a DV stream, but I cannot tell iMovie to create a PAL movie, which is the format I need here in Europe. Once a DV format is created, I cannot import it because the movie is in NTSC.
I dont really want to splash out well over $1000 here just to be able to create iMovies. Does anyone know how to change the default movie to PAL, or just like other things with the iApps (printing photos from iPhoto which is still non-existant, or the new iChat which is AOL compatible but not MSN, where pretty all of my friends use MSN here in Europe) we in Europe are not as well served.
Why cant they build in the choice?
Andrew
