export Bookmarks in IE to Chimera

I just discovered tabbed browsing, and how much I love it, but one thing is keeping me from switching to chimera: bookmarks. Is there any way to import the bookmarks in IE 5.2 to Chimera? thanks

They haven't implemented a IE bookmarks importing function yet. It will most likely be made though...

I guess you could look through the IE bookmarks file and the chimera one and manually copy them over, or create a script to do it :D.

I'd like a browser that would import bookmarks from all my browsers, I don't use IE at all, and I'd like to have all my Mozilla, OmniWeb and iCab bookmarks imported...

the chimera bookmark file is in XML and I haven't checked the IE one extensively yet, but I think it would be incredibly hard and I have a lot of bookmarks... I'll just have to wait for the import feature you mentioned.

Am I missing something here?

Chimera
Bookmarks-->Manage Bookmarks-->Import Bookmarks

Does this not work any more? That's how I got my bookmarks (Favorites) into Chimera. Although I can't remember which build that worked in.

I'll have to check into this…

[edit] Still works. Strange. What build you guys using? I'm using the latest nightly build.

Even though it's already highlighted, you have to click on the "Favorites.html" file. Then the "Open" button should then be active and flashing.

The way I did it was to first export my favourites from IE and then import from chimera...works like a charm.

Ok, I figured it out, when I first clicked the import button, it was in the wrong directory. But this is great, no more IE! chimera is great except it won't open links from Mail.app unless I copy and paste.
