OK I made a couple minute movie. I want to put on my homepage on idisk. What are the optimium settings when exporting and iMovie to quicktime so that it can be seen over the web through itools. I have tried alot of different settings but the video looks blurred or blown up. I am using the drive in template. It is hard to experiment with only a dial up line. It takes forever.

Well, first while you're experimenting, you should probably save the aspirin and just export to your local disk. Then you can open it in Quicktime Player and see what the necessary bandwidth is.

I think if you hit Cmd-J or Cmd-I when a movie is active, it brings up some info panes. One of the popup menus in the pane will let you see something like Bit Rate. If you want a movie to look decent over a modem (tricky at best), you'll want the bit rate to be about 3KB/sec max.

I like the Photo-JPEG A codec, but I don't worry about bit rate on my stuff, so I don't know if it would be great for you or not.
