External Hard Drive

I have a clamshell Ibook PowerrPC G3, 10.3.9, 366 Megaherts, with 192 ram.

I bought this for my computer, but it is not showing up on my desktop. Moreover, it does not appear on Disk Utility.

And I followed the support suggestions to not avail.


Can anyone help me?

Does the drive show up under System Profiler? Additionally, you can try to boot from a install disk, and use the Disk Utility from there to format the drive!

It is not showing up in the System Profiler.

Also, it is connected to the Firewire outlet if that makes any difference.

And I will try your recommendation.

So, the drive doesn't show up on my system profiler.

Could the problem be my port or computer?
