Fake job offerings for fraud purposes

i just ran across this on ZDnet. I just thought people should be aware of this as i'm sure this happens on other such sites as well as monster.com. it's certainly not unusual for an employer to ask for a social security number right off the bat.
 
Yea, i heard about that on CNN last night. Pretty scary stuff if you think about it.
 
ive read about this, and its bothering me, because ive been applying for LOTS of jobs lately through online resources... i just hope im safe :eek:
