Fast User Switching and Restarts

I have had to restart my G4 twice since enableing Fast User Switching
and both times it has said there were multiple people logged in and I had to enter my administtrator password so Panther could log then off, the problem is Panther does nothing after accepting my password. I had to manually log them out and then restart from the finder. When shutting down a black screen pops up in multiple languages and says I must depress my power button for a few seconds to turn off the computer. I do this and power up, no harm no foul. It seems that this is a bug and I wonder if anyone else is experiancing this ?

That is a Kernal Panic, by the way. Maybe someone else can shed some more light on it though

How did you upgrade your system? Perhaps your Panther installation did something unpleasant.

Never heard about such a bug. That's why I believe something went wrong in the installation, as arden said.
The easiest solution is to reinstall the system. Not really nice step, but trying to figure out something that (possibly) accidently went wrong through the installation... much more work
And if you consider this, I would recommend a fresh installation. Do not update the system or try to recover.

Thats a big step - why not just call apple support and ask some quick questions? I haven't had too much experience with them but it can't be that hard. Or try the knowledge base articles at http://support.apple.com . Why not cover the bases before leaving the park?
