It's not that difficult at all. Once you're done editing your project, simply export it to a standard high-quality DV stream (most likely the same framerate and sound bit rate you use on your camera). Then, just drag and drop it (I believe. It's been a while since I did this.) or import it into iDVD, and iDVD will do the rest of the encoding work for you.
