I know that Limewire is a java application, just by general knowledge.
However, you can't really tell the differences between java and carbon/cocoa apps other than the fact that sometimes they use different menu bars and are much slower.
But Limewire's type is "Scannable File 21". I just got an installer program that is also "Scannable File 21". Does that mean it's Java? Why the weird name? Why don't they just translate that to "Java Application" if it's Java?
Any ideas?
