Final Cut Express - Announced!!

Yea, to help those gain knowledge before making that jump to the real thing, Final Cut is simple the best, so Express will take off for the video pro newbie.

I like the idea of Final Cut Express. I have a copy of Final Cut Pro at work, and really enjoy using it. I find it to be quite fast and powerful. However, it is not something that I can afford to purchase for home use. Thus I either edit in iMovie at home or I go into the office and edit in FCP. FCE seems to lack primarily the ability to capture using high end analog capture cards like cinewave. It also does not appear to support CinemaTools. That is not a huge problem for me, as I am unlikely to need 24 FPS editing of high resolution video - 35 and 70 mm captured footage or HD captured video - at home. If I had the money to purchase the required equipment to handle these higher end formats, such as high end capture cards ($10k or more), RAID HDD, Film scanner, etc. I am certain that I would be able to afford the $600 additional cost of FCP.
